MUMBAI: Planman Motion Pictures stole the 70th Annual BFJA Awards
show by bagging a whooping 8 Awards in their kitty. Bengali Film
Journalists Association (BFJA) - Award, a tribute to Bangla cinema
is one of the prestigious and oldest Awards in the Indian Cinema
fraternity. Planman Motion Pictures received high praises for their
movie ‘Faltu’ and ‘Dosar’.
Planman Motion Pictures, always stimulated to offer quality movies
to the movie lovers. “Faltu”, an unusual flick based on
the novel ‘Ranirghater Brittanto’ and the Black &
White venture “Dosar” was acclaimed by the viewers.
The film ‘Faltu’, directed by Anjan Das grabbed almost
all the major awards being the Best Film, Best Director, Best Story,
Best Makeup, Best Script and the Best Supporting Actor- Indrani
Halder.
“Faltu” was not so faltu (good-for-nothing) after all,
and the Awards we bagged proves that…. It is a different movie
which has caught the attention of the critics and the serious and
meaningful movie lovers as well. We are happy that this movie has
been given its due recognition and admiration that it truly worths.

To add to the grandeur of the evening and being one of the best
contributor to the Bengali Cinema, ‘ Dosar &rsquo ; by
Rituparno Ghosh had won the Second Best Film and Best Actor Award.
Prosenjit, the renowned Bengali actor took away the Best Actor Award
for his outstanding performance in the movie.Alfred Haber, Inc.,

largest independent distributor of U.S. network reality series and
specials, as well as music, variety and event programming.
The crème de la crème celebrities of Bollywood and
Tollywood were also present at this occasion to share the happy
and successful moments of all achievers. Amitabh Bachchan, Yash
Chopra, Rakesh Roshan, Raj Kumar Hirani, Mithun Chakravarti were
few of the big names present there.
With the perpetual aim of producing quality films, Planman is on
the floors with their upcoming ventures “ MITHYA”, “
SUNGLASS” and an English film ‘THE LAST LEAR’ with
the great Amitabh Bachchan and pretty Preity Zinta this year.
