MUMBAI:
All through this week, TIMES NOW the 24 hour English news television
channel of big stories will celebrate the Rajnikanth phenomenon,
as the Superstars fans across the world prepare for the release
of his 100th Tamil film, Sivaji: The Boss. The release
of this movie is one of the biggest events in the South this year,
especially Tamil Nadu, and TIMES NOW has decided to devote one full
week of special programming, news reports, interactive contests,
on-air opportunities for Rajni fans and special live coverage of
events marking Sivajis release.
Its
not just about a film release, the release of Sivaji is a celebration
of the popular cult around Rajni, and the phenomenon of Rajni which
is often unfortunately overlooked beyond the South says Arnab
Goswami, Editor in Chief, TIMES NOW. With reports from Chennai,
across Tamil Nadu, Singapore, Southeast Asia (where Rajni has a
massive following) and from TIMES NOW bureaus across India, the

The
biggest hallmark of the coverage is a special I want to be
Rajni contest. Here, TIMES NOW viewers and Rajni fans will
get an opportunity to come the closest they can, on TV, to performing
typical Rajni stunts, moves, dialogues and action. TIMES NOW cameras

closest to their reel life icon, on TV. Already within minutes of
the on air promotion of this contest, the news channel is inundated
with calls and emails. And FIVE LUCKY winners will get a golden
opportunity to watch the much awaited movie on Saturday at Satyam
