'The Thirsty traveler' takes discovery Travel & Living viewers on a global journey of the Tastebuds

MUMBAI: Kevin Brauch appreciates a fine glass of spirits and he will go to the ends of the earth to sample the best this world has to offer. From Spain to Sweden and Taiwan to the Carribean, each region has a specialty drink which, to be truly appreciated, should be toasted among the people who have helped make it the best. Hosting a new season of THE THIRSTY TRAVELER, Kevin Brauch invites viewers to hop on board and tour the world, seeking, sipping and saluting the best native concoctions.

Have you ever heard of the ice vodka? Do you know where to find a devil of a drink? And have you ever followed a wine trail? Kevin Brauch reveals the history and experiences the culture behind beverages unique to particular parts of the world in premiere episodes of THE THIRSTY TRAVELER airing every Thursday at 10:30 pm.

Just a taste of the experience, THE THIRSTY TRAVELER introduces viewers to Caribbean liqueurs, the rolling vineyards across the world, and beer brewers of Wales.

KEVIN BRAUCH
Host of Thirsty Traveler on Discovery Travel & Living

During his early days as a bartender in Toronto's trendiest clubs and restaurants Kevin Brauch served up Cuba Libras, Manhattans, Black Russians, Irish Coffees and other delicious delights from a global smorgasbord of spirits to a battalion of loyal customers. Who knew that the knowledge Kevin garnered during his seven years behind the bar would come in handy as host of The Thirsty Traveller.

Armed with a take-no-prisoners attitude, Kevin has become somewhat of a fixture on national television since graduating from Ryerson University's Radio and Television Arts program in 1994. His impressive resume boasts gigs as a radio host, television host, writer, actor and television producer, just for starters. Today, armed with a backpack and a terrific thirst for adventure, Kevin holds the title of "best damn job in the world!" as he travels the planet drinking the world's finest spirits, wines, beers, and eating the best food imaginable.

But Kevin's work as The Thirsty Traveller doesn't stop there. Now, midway through shooting the hugely successful, international hit television series, Kevin is kept extraordinarily busy doing personal appearances and touring to support the show's companion cookbook, Thirsty Traveler - Road Recipes. This well-received tome features some of Kevin's favourite tales and the recipes he's gathered while traveling the planet, focusing on how to cook with fine wines, beers and spirits.
