MUMBAI:
Infosys' chief mentor Narayanmoorthy participates in TIMES NOW on
campaign says action of two Bangaloreans should not sully IT capital.
Tired of the negative propaganda and the stereotyping that has followed
the involvement of two Bangalore based brothers in the Glasgow bombings,
prominent Bangaloreans have decided to speak out on a special campaign
that's being aired on TIMES NOW.
The campaign, whose title "Don't label us" reflects the
predominant mood and fear of many people in the city, will over
this entire week, air the concerns of India's IT capital at the
possible backlash of the discovery of a Bangalore link to the terror
web.
Appearing on the special coverage on TIMES NOW, Infosys chief mentor
Narayanmoorthy said: "Bangalore is and will continue to be
a city of creativity innovation in IT and Biotechnology, all for
peaceful purposes, all for making this a better world. I believe
that inspite of the action of two people originating from Bangalore
and going abroad, being influenced by terrorists and indulging in
such activities, I don't think - with a lot of emphasis on the don't
- Bangalore's reputation will change. It will be the city that strives
to make this a better world"
As part of this special coverage, TIMES NOW will also air the views
of citizen reporters from the city, from different fields. The channel
is also conducting an exhaustive poll across the city to air the
general views, of the ordinary Bangalorean to the country and the
rest of the world. The poll is aimed getting a feel of whether the
city fears that its perception will suffer internationally following
the Glasgow bombings and whether the ordinary Bangalorean feels
enough is being done to contain the possible damage.
