MUMBAI: This Thursday, Star Gold presents an action packed comedy,
which brings together the two greatest entertainers of Bollywood-
Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda! Both the stars are cast in a double
role of police officers and their look-alike cons. What follows
are hilarious situations with major confusion among bad guys and
the police, not forgetting the romantic links of the police officers
played by Raveena Tandon and Ramya. Salaam-e-Comedy presents the
super hit comedy film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan this Thursday, April
19th at 5 p.m. only on Star Gold.
Police
Inspectors Arjun Singh (Amitabh Bachchan) and Pyare Mohan (Govinda)
are brothers serving in the same police station in Mumbai. Although
their methods of apprehending criminals resemble those of the Keystone
cops - they do manage on occasion to solve crimes diligently. Then
all of a sudden their lives take a turn for the worse when they
find out that they are being blamed for mistakes they did not commit.
Having been identified by video-taped evidence of having stolen
an expensive diamond from a showroom, both of them are suspended,
charged with theft, and held in a prison cell until the courts decide
their fate, leaving the Commissioner of Police, Shyamlal to ponder
what went wrong and where. Also watch out for some hilarious performances
by Anupam Kher as Police Commissioner Shyamlal, Paresh Rawal as
Zorawar bhai, Satish Kaushik as Sharafat Ali and Rakesh Bedi as
Makkan the watchman! Bade Miyan Chote Miyan features a musical score
including "Deta Dil Jore Sajna," "Bade Miyan Chote
Miyan," and "Mere Pyaar Ka Ras", which has a special
guest appearance by Madhuri Dixit.
