| Mumbai, November 16, 2005 - With an eclectic cast
consisting of American, British and Indian stars, it is a show that
redefined television viewing the world over. And this Saturday, November
19, 2005 at 7:00 p.m., the mystery finally unfolds on the unknown
land, as LOST reaches its season finale in India on STAR MOVIES. Nominated
for 12 Emmy Awards after its first season, Lost, has taken television
drama to new levels that the world has never seen before. Mixing drama,
suspense, death and fear, Lost promises to take you where television
has never gone before.
In the finale episode of "Lost", the castaways who make
it onto the raft are surprised at sea by something that unexpectedly
happens -- they make their first contact with "others"
out at sea, but meet disastrous results. Meanwhile, the remaining
survivors attempt to blow open the hatch that's in the forest, but
this proves to be more difficult than expected. And another survivor
on the island dies!! Visiting French woman Danielle Rousseau (guest-star
Mira Furlan) becomes a threat to Claire's infant son as she decides
to kidnap him and bring him into the woods for "the others"
to have in order to save the rest. Lastly, flashbacks show us all
the survivors in the moments before the doomed flight took off.
Some trivia on the finale:
On its original airing, this episode, scored 20.2 million viewers
for ABC, as part of the 2-hour season finale. It was the highest
rated scripted series of the night.
During filming of the first season finale, each cast member was
only given the script pages of scenes where they appeared.
The last two minutes of this episode contain no spoken dialogue
whatsoever.
The Oceanic flight 815 departs from gate 23. 23 is a part of the
mysterious numbers, as are 8 and 15.
As Hurley leaves his hotel room, you can see that his room number
was 2342. 23 and 42 are part of the 'numbers'.
The scene where Hurley is running through Sydney Airport was actually
filmed in an office building in Honolulu. Just before he goes up
the escalator, he passes a room with large wooden doors (on the
right side of the screen). You can quickly catch a glimpse of the
sign over the doors, which reads "Kamehameha" - the name
of the old king of Hawaii.
"Truly the most adventurously scripted and visually stunning
pilot of the season
" Seattle Post-Intelligencer
"You'll be gripping the arm of the chair like a white-knuckle
flier on take-off!" - People Magazine
"...The kind of twists and special effects usually found in
movies." New York Times
"
one of the most original drama series on a major broadcast
network
daring, intelligent and worth watching." Tribune-Review
LOST has been a huge success as compelling writing and brilliant
ensemble acting coupled with its huge scale production values. LOST
was conceived from the start on the scale of a motion picture in
parts rather than as a TV show. So don't miss the exciting and the
electrifying finale on STAR MOVIES, this Saturday, November 19 at
