Mumbai, November 10, 2005: Star Gold celebrates Children's Day
in India by airing two of the most favorite movies of children,
Home Alone Part 2 and Part 3 on Saturday, at 8.00 pm and
10.45 pm respectively. To spread fun and joy for children all across
the country, Star Gold, for the first time will be airing these
hilarious yet poignant movies in Hindi for kids from all strata
of the society.
Star Gold feels that this movie will interest all the kids in India
as it depicts the adventurous spirit of a mischievous American kid
who is accidentally left out all alone by his family and how strategically
he protects himself from robbers. The innocent mischief and the
heart-rendering poignancy of the movies will not only appeal to
all the kids in India; they will also be able to relate to it. Star
Gold decided to telecast these movies to raise a toast to the innocence,
creativity and the latent talent of children on this special Children's
day in India.
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York: The McAllister family
goes on a holiday to Florida. Kevin McAllister gets separated from
his family, and manages to get himself onto a plane to New York
instead. There, he checks into the best hotel with his father's
credit card, and sets out to enjoy himself. While in New York, Kevin
befriends E. F. Duncan, a friendly toy store owner, and Kevin also
befriends a homeless Pigeon Woman then Kevin runs into his old enemies
Harry and Marv, who have escaped from prison. When Kevin discovers
that Harry and Marv plan to rob Mr. Duncan's toy store on Christmas
Eve, Kevin makes plans to stop them. Kevin's mother Kate, upon realizing
that she and the family have become separated from Kevin, frantically
tries to find Kevin.
Home Alone 3: A top-secret computer chip has been stolen
from the U.S. Defense Department. The international criminals who
expertly and ruthlessly engineered its heist are asking for untold
millions of dollars on the Black Market. But the precious booty,
hidden inside a toy car, has been temporarily misplaced. Its final
destination: a comfortable Chicago suburb. Quietly taking up residence
in the tree-lined neighborhood, the four highly trained spies marshal
all their diabolical resources and skills to retrieve the device.
Their state-of-the-art surveillance and ruthless strategy have foiled
Interpol, the FBI, U.S. Defense agents and the local police. Only
