Volume no: 1. Issue no: 29

12 April 1999

IN LIGHTER VEIN

Union information and broadcasting minister Pramod Mahajan was recently seen flashing a satellite phone (in all probabilities an Iridium handset). On being asked why he was doing so, Mahajan replied, "initially when I got a cell phone not many people in the BJP party had one. But now since every Ram, Krishan and Hari in the party appeared to be sporting not one but often two cell phones, it was time to move on."
