MUMBAI: Sprite, a brand form the house of Coca Cola India, has launched 'Sprite Kholega Toh Bolega' contest.

The contest is a digital initiative using mobile phone technology that aims to tap into the key passions of today's youth - mobile, internet and downloads.

The initiative is a part of Sprite's 2008 summer campaign "Seedhi Baat, No Bakwaas, Clear Hai?!"

The contest, applicable to 230 million GSM & CDMA mobile consumers (both prepaid & postpaid users) across all leading mobile service operators, will offer the sprite drinking consumers a chance to win free talk time worth Rs 15 million.

Coca-Cola India VP marketing Venkatesh Kini said, "Sprite's 2008 summer campaign 'Seedhi Baat, No Bakwaas, Clear Hai?!' is all about engaging the youth in a simple, honest and straightforward manner. Independent research reports have shown, out of the 230 million mobile phone users in the country, the youth continue to be the largest users of prepaid mobile phones. This segment yearns for free talk time and digital downloads like music vides, movie clips, games wallpapers, ring tones. Combining this key insight with state of the art mobile technology platform, we have designed the 'Sprite Kholega Toh Bolega' initiative to connect and engage with the youth. I am sure the youth of today will find this initiative extremely exciting."

The backend of the entire digital mobile initiative is powered by tech partner Oxigen, who would interface with mobile service operators to distribute free talk time to the "lucky" sprite consumers located anywhere in India.

The technology innovation will enable distribution of free talk time ranging from Rs 50 to Rs 5000, every hour from 10 am - 10 pm everyday for the next two months, till 4 July '08.
