Repucom enters India; appoints S Zainudeen as SVP, biz development

MUMBAI: Repucom, a global broadcast analysis service provider in sports and branded content environments, has entered the Indian market with the appointment of Shahid Zainudeen as SVP of business development in India.

Based in Bangalore, Zainudeen's key focus will be to develop innovative marketing solutions that are aligned with the business needs of corporates in India. In addition to understanding the needs of Repucom's existing and potential customers and providing solutions that best address the needs of these companies, he will also interface with corporate groups and leaders to develop services that enable business growth.

Commenting on his company's foray into India and on the new appointment, Repucom founder-MD Paul Smith said, "We are pleased to announce our entry into the vibrant Indian market. Prior to joining Repucom, Zainudeen was the director of tennis ace Leander Paes's company Leander Sport Pvt Ltd, where he continues to be a consultant. He also worked with IMG, the global sports and entertainment management company, for over five years. At IMG, he was responsible for sponsor acquisition, athlete and event management.

Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, with regional Asian headquarters in Singapore, Repucom was established in 2004 as an extension of the successful sponsorship and brand activation company - Total Sport & Entertainment (TSE). Repucom's rise in the global sponsorship measurement market saw the company break away to form Repucom International in 2007.

The company provides services based on exclusive digital technology called SpikeNet and utilising proprietary software known as Radiuss. This unique combination can analyse brand exposure in television broadcast in an accurate, consistent and verifiable manner. Repucom's service has been adopted by over 150 brands, rights holders, broadcasters and agencies, says the company.
