MUMBAI: Edelman Asia Pacific has announced the launch of Edelman Digital, a new regional unit comprising experienced consultants in all markets.

Edelman Digital plans to create authentic communications between companies, brands and multiple stakeholder groups, across an increasingly complex multi-channel landscape.

Edelman Digital Asia Pacific will be led by Singapore-based John Kerr, who reports to Edelman Asia Pacific president Alan VanderMolen. Edelman Digital will be led globally by Chicago-based Rick Murray as president and New York-based David Dunne as chief operating officer.

VanderMolen said, “As clients look to proactively engage in multi-stakeholder, real-time and transparent dialogues to drive specific business outcomes, web and mobile-based channels must be part of the mix. Companies and brands not engaging in this space across multiple stakeholders will be at a competitive disadvantage.”

Edelman finds, listens and reports on online conversations that are of significance to brands. The firm specialises in developing collaborative digital programmes.

“Where client solutions require us to work with the best interactive and digital agencies, we gladly partner. This is especially important in high-growth areas, such as mobile and social networking. Our team is currently identifying local and regional partners with complementary solutions,” stated Kerr.
