MUMBAI: Contract Advertising India CEO Jagdip Bakshi, who also chairs the Goafest 2008 committee, threw a cocktail party to discuss the agenda of the premier ad festival, which kicks off on 3 April at Cavelossim Beach, Goa.

Organised jointly by the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) and the Advertising Club Bombay, Goafest 2008 will offer a unique opportunity for all advertising professionals in India to meet and celebrate great advertising work.

Advertising conclave at Goafest

This year, the topic of the ad conclave is something that drives much of the industry's thought and actions - nailing the true value in advertising.

The discussions will aim at evaluating the difference between the industry merely existing and thriving. The conclave discussions will address the following issues:

1. Are advertisers valuing marketing assets correctly?

2. Is the industry doing anything to build value for itself?

Speakers at Goafest

This year, Goafest has invited stalwarts from the ad world including Williams Murray Hamm's creative partner Garrick Hamm; Donald Gunn, the author of the famous Gunn Report; One Club's Kevin Swanepoel; John Harlow, the founder of Naked; Craig Davis, worldwide creative chief of JWT; Scott Goodson, founder-CEO of Strawberryfrog; Saatchi & Saatchi NY's chief creative officer Tony Granger; and Crispin Porter & Bogusky creative director Alex Bogusky.
