MUMBAI: Pepe Jeans London has signed up with Renault Formula 1 Racing Team as one of its official worldwide sponsors for the next three years.

The company says after a quiet 2007, Renault is well poised to regain the winner’s podium slot in the constructors and drivers championship with the highly publicised return of Fernando Alonso (with two-time consecutive World Championships in 2005 and 2006) and the signing of an exciting rookie prospect, Nelson Piquet Jr., son of the legendary Brazilian three-time Formula 1 winner.

Pepe's sponsorship deal will include prominent on-car branding, drivers’ suits front-chest branding, team uniforms, garage paneling, drivers' appearances and more.

Pepe Jeans London (India) Chetan Shah says, “It makes us very proud to be a part of the Renault F1 team! We shall keep the energy and enthusiasm of Renault alive in India. With the rising fan following of F1 worldwide and now in India too it’s a great union.”

With the biggest global TV audience for any event or sport (2.73 billion in 2007), 18 races across 4 continents, this Formula 1 partnership will be the most visible branding exercise globally that the Pepe Jeans brand has undertaken to date.
