Mi Marathi to celebrate Kolhapuri culture with 'Salaam Kolhapur'

MUMBAI: After the success of Salaam Mumbai, Salaam Pune and Salaam Nasik, Mi Marathi, Sri Adhikari Brothers' Marathi general entertainment channel (GEC), is all set to take the flagship event to Kolhapur.

Mi Marathi will organise an event Salaam Kolhapur on 3 April, which will be telecast on 12 April at 7.30 pm.

The theme of the event is the city and the lifestyle of the people of Kolhapur. However, the focus would remain on the history, heritage and the love of the people for their city.

The event will open with Devicha Gondhal (play for goddess), followed by a variety of entertainment programmes on the story line. Each incidence in the story line would highlight a khaasiyat (unique aspect) of Kolhapur. It will also portray the life as well as the people of Kolhapur.

A five-minute montage on the city, depicting the significant achievements and contributions by prominent personalities of Kolhapur, will also be shown.

The programme will end with a theme song written by the Kolhapur lyricist Jagdish Khebudkar and directed by music director Ashok Patki.
