MUMBAI: India Chapter of International Advertising Association (IAA) is launching a series of lectures under the tag 'Thought Leaders of Today'.

The first meet is on 3 January in Mumbai where The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) director general and Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) chairman R.K.Pachauri will address the who's who of advertising and marketing community on the subject of Environment.

"With the Indian economy galloping and the advertising and marketing community being purveyors of consumption and big consumers themselves, we thought the IAA could step in and sensitise its membership to the consequences of over-consumption of a scarce resource", said IAA India Chapter president Pradeep Guha.

The meeting is presented by Brand Equity, The Economic Times Mumbai.

The India Chapter of IAA was initiated over 20 years ago to foster a healthy environment for the growth of globalisation in the communications industry. The India Chapter currently has a select membership of around 125. Earlier this year the India Chapter took a delegation of 23 CEOs to the West coast of USA to interact with the top brass of Microsoft, Yahoo, Google and Disney.
