MUMBAI: Future Group's retail format Big Bazaar, in association with Star India Pvt Ltd, has launched a collection of designer ethnic wear under the brand "Star Parivaar."

The collection comprises sarees, salwars and ready-to-stitch suits. For the launch of this unique collection, the Star Group's newly formed licensing and merchandising division has entered into a licensing agreement with Big Bazaar.

Drawing inspiration from the popular soaps on Star, "Star Parivaar" brings together a unique colour palette, design, styling and range, created by designers, says a release. The range includes 250 unique styles, which will be launched in dedicated Star Parivaar boutiques across 35 Big Bazaar outlets.

Commenting on the launch, Future Group CEO Kishore Biyani says, "Big Bazaar is the largest retailer of fashion in the country and has been the favoured destination for Indian women, catering to both her everyday needs and her aspirations. Our association with Star will now help us offer her a new opportunity to enrich her life with fashion and style - but with our motto of doing so at realistic and affordable pricing."

Star India CEO Uday Shankar says, "With this association, Star will be able to make available the one experience that our viewers have time and again asked for. In every consumer research that we have conducted, viewers have expressed the desire of having access to the fashion and lifestyle they experience through our entertainment platform."

An innovative catalogue at Big Bazaar will showcase the line, and a complementary fashion book will be launched on the occasion. In addition, the inspiration for colours will be provided by tarot card reader Manisha Khatwani with a full color forecast according to star signs, adds the release.
