MUMBAI: Scott Vitrone and Ian Reichenthal, the award-winning creative heads behind TBWA\Chiat\Day's quirky work for Mars brands such as Skittles, are all set to join Young & Rubicam (Y&R), adweek.com reports.

Vitrone and Reichenthal were group creative directors at Omnicom's TBWA\C\D in New York. At WPP Group's Y&R, they will become executive creative directors, responsible for "selected projects across the network," Y&R said.

"Scott and Ian are an amazing team. They are passionate about their craft, their clients and their colleagues," Y&R worldwide CEO Hamish McLennan was quoted as saying.

However, it was not immediately clear when Vitrone and Reichenthal would start.

In November, Saatchi & Saatchi New York chief creative officer Tony Granger became the worldwide creative director at Y&R.

Granger remains at Saatchi today because of the one-year notice period in his Saatchi contract.

The Granger appointment "says a lot about [McLennan's] commitment to a high creative standard," said Vitrone. "We're excited to be part of that."

"We were looking for a new challenge, and we think Y&R is a great opportunity on an even bigger playing field," added Reichenthal.

Vitrone and Reichenthal had joined TBWA\C\D about three years ago.
