The Buzzy Silver and Buzzy Bronze awards went to Kingfisher and Reliance (both the groups), respectively.

agencyfaqs! organised the awards to crown the hottest and buzziest brands of 2008.

The first ever Buzziest Brands Awards 2008 ceremony included categories of winners such as the Gold, Silver, Bronze, Buzzy 10, Longest Buzz and Newest Buzz.

The group of Buzzy 10 included Idea, Nokia, Google, The Times of India, Tata, Happydent, ICICI, Motorola, Coca-Cola and Hindustan Unilever.

Maintaining the longest buzz since the last three years is Airtel that also won the Longest Buzz award for keeping the buzz levels up.

Winning the Newest Buzz award is online portal Zapak.com, which out of nowhere shone into the limelight engaging thousands of enthusiast surfers.

60 brands which had been most searched on agencyfaqs! website in 2007 were shortlisted. Out of these, visitors voted for the top five brands which generated the greatest buzz with an innovative marketing approach.

Apart from the professional vote for the Buzziest Brands of the Year Poll 2008, an independent jury also voted. The winners were decided on the basis of equal weightage for both voters and jury.
