MUMBAI: Tata Motors has announced the launch of a new television commercial (TVC) for its four-wheel public transport product Magic.

Developed by Rediffusion DYR and shot by Chrome Pictures in Rajasthan, the film talks to people in small town India who travel daily via autorickshaws, buses, bullock carts, etc. When the ride is comfortable, people talk, interact, open up and interesting little stories happen.

With the tagline "Har Safar Mein Kahani Hai," the new TVC is a set of two films that show two charming incidents that happen in a Magic. In one, a couple meet and fall in love, duly orchestrated by a bratty young kid. In the other, a young man, trying to get his newly-wed bride to open up, ends up meeting a long-lost uncle. In both these films, the driver of the Magic turns out to be the narrator of these little stories.

Launched in June 2007, the Magic is built on the platform of the successful Ace, and brings to urban and rural areas a comfortable, safe, four-wheeler public transport mode, says the company.
