MUMBAI: Coca-Cola India is ready to launch the Coca-Cola Football Champs. This is a grassroots talent hunt initiative, to discover promising young footballers in the country.

The talent hunt, targeting 3000 young footballers, will span across eight cities namely Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Goa, Chennai, Bangalore and Cochin.

Inter school tournaments will be organised in these places and the winning teams from the eight participating cities will have to play against each other in the finals, which is to be held in Mumbai in the 2nd week of May.

The final 16 young talented footballers identified from within the tournament, will then be sent for training at the week-long Coca-Cola Football Camp in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil from 7 July onwards.

312 children from 26 countries including India will participate at the camp, organised by Coca-Cola in partnership with Brazilian Football Academy (BFA).
