Black Dog, Radio Indigo to bring in Amsterdam’s Jazz band to Bangalore

BANGALORE: Black Dog (BD) in association with Radio Indigo (RI) is ready to bring Amsterdam’s Jazz band Agog to Bangalore for a performance.

The band will perform on 2 May and is a part of the The Black Dog Jazz Incident.

The band comprises the trio of classical guitarist Frank Wingold, drummer Joost Lijbaart and bass guitarist Mark Haanstra.

The trio started in September 2001. Their first CD was Shortcuts to Detours.

In July 2002 they won the Dutch Jazz competition and since then they have been doing many concerts each year both in and outside the Netherlands.

BD and RI brought in an international Jazz and blues festival – "Indigo & Blues" to Bangalore in December last year.

The two have partnered to bring in several International Jazz appearances to the city in an endeavor to put Bangalore on the International jazz map.

Also, recently The Black Dog Jazz Incident claims to be more than just one occasion to celebrate jazz.

BD and RI brought in an international Jazz and blues festival – Indigo & Blues, to Bangalore in December last year.

The two have partnered to bring in several International Jazz appearances to the city in an endeavour to put Bangalore on the International jazz map. Recently, the Black Dog Jazz Incident brought the French Alain Brunet trio and the Animation Jazz band, featuring Grammy winner Bob Belden to Bangalore.
