Escher Communications launches with 12 clients

MUMBAI: Escher Communications has launched operations with 12 clients across retail, healthcare, technology, Internet and the entertainment domains.

The key clients of Escher, a 50:50 joint venture between Source Strategic Communications Pvt. Ltd (The Source) and iMatters, include Glodyne, id8Labs, Manipal Cure and Care, EMA Partners, Saon Group and Z Friction.

The Source MD Raju Kane said, "We are partnering with iMatters to create a dedicated thru-the-line agency for new age sectors that require a holistic brand custodian approach to communication. Escher will offer traditional public relations, blog pr, consumer and trade communications and special purpose advertising to build new brands in retail, healthcare, technology, internet and entertainment domains in the Indian market."

The joint venture product will operate from offices in six cities namely Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Pune. With network arrangements available in 18 major markets in India, Escher will have its head office in Mumbai.

iMatters Director Ajai Sharma said, "iMatters will continue to grow as a specialist financial communication agency. We propose to add financial research, new media communications and below the line promotions to emerge as a full service financial communication consultancy in 2008. We hived off our clients and the teams working in technology, healthcare, Internet and entertainment domains to Escher communications to create greater focus on the financial practice in iMatters."

Escher Communications will look at building on specialized services by bringing together media relations and communications skills from The Source and iMatters under one roof. Escher Communications plans to hire a Chief Executive Officer and 20 professionals by June this year to boost its operations in Mumbai and Delhi.
