MUMBAI: Getty Images, which supplies pictures and video to media and advertising companies, is offering the global creative community a chance to win a trip to the Cannes Lion 2008.

One has to use one or more of Getty Images' footage clips, music tracks or creative images to communicate an idea that makes a world of difference.

The last date for entries is 14 May. The idea can be uploaded, the gallery viewed and other people's work rated until 14 May. The top 20 will be passed though the final judging panel. The winner will be declared on 28 May.

Getty Images sales director, agents and emerging markets Tony Berle says, "We see this as an opportunity to encourage creative talent. These are exciting times for the communications industry. The explosion of new channels. Impact of new technologies. Social networking sites. 24-hour news channels. Virals. Blogs.

" They all enable one idea to ripple across the world in seconds. Helping to change opinions, attitudes and behavior. You've probably had an idea that could have this effect. Now there's never been a better time to share it."

The prize will consist of a five day, four night break for 2 people in Cannes. Accommodation, flight/s from winner's location to Cannes, Cannes Lions 2008 Full Delegate Registration passes and allowance for meals are included.
