Star Gold promotes screening of 'My Friend Ganesha'

MUMBAI:Star Gold has kicked off its marketing activities to promote its upcoming movie title My Friend Ganesha.

The film airs on the channel on 23 September at 1 pm.

"Focus markets identified for the activities are Mumbai, along with other parts of Maharshtra and Delhi, keeping in mind the Ganesha festival in these places," says Star India VP marketing and communication Prem Kamath.

The on ground promotions will continue till 25 September, the day of Vsarjana.

As a part of this initiative, gates leading to key pandals in Mulund, Ghatkopar, Goregaon, Parsiwada, Tulsiwadi, Vile Parle, Powai, Dadar, Lalbaug in Mumbai will be promoting the tune in of the movie.

Apart from this, 18 ground hoardings and 150 banners have been put up around the key pandals and Visarjana points in Mumbai promoting the tune in of the movie

Elaborating further Kamath says, "The period being the Ganesha festival, the best fit for a ground activation was to do pandals across Mumbai."

In addition to the above, a special association has been done with the Mumbai police where 400 banners with safety messages and 'My Friend Ganesha' have been put up across Mumbai.

Star Gold has also tied up with Radio City, Red FM and Radio Mirchi in two of key markets - Mumbai and Delhi to promote the screening.

In an attempt to promote the telecast in other parts of Maharshtra, the channel is running 650 promos in the key cable networks of Pune, Nashik, Nagpur and Kolhapur till 23 September.

My Friend Ganesha is a movie based on Ashu, a lonely kid until he finds a friend in Ganesha.
