MUMBAI: The Nielsen Company will host a seminar titled 'Defining Moments of India's Retail Trade' on 14 September in Mumbai, where retail experts from India and overseas will gather to review best practice retailing from other parts of the world.

The conference comes at a time when India's organized retail landscape is changing and the market is opening up to multinational players and big Indian corporations are entering the FMCG retail market.

Nielsen Europe's senior retail analyst Jean Jacques Vandenheede and Nielsen Asia Pacific MD retailer services Peter Gale will address the conference. Both Vandenheede and Gale will share key insights based on their international experience and knowledge about what drives a successful retail chain.

Reliance Retail Hypermarkets CEO K Radhakrishnan and Nielsen India's specialist in organized retail trade Rajshree Dave will also speak at the conference.

Both globally and in India, The Nielsen Company helps clients with their consumer insights and in-depth analysis from the findings. It also provides retail audit information in India and covers over 124 fast moving consumer goods, pharmaceuticals and other products.

The Nielsen Retail Store Audit in India covers all retail outlets and continuously monitors a panel spread across 367 cities and 983 villages throughout India.
