Publicis Ambience appoints Khazanchi, Prasanna as national creative directors

MUMBAI: Publicis Ambience has appointed Ashish Khazanchi and Prasanna Sankhe as its new national creative directors.

Prior to this appointment, Khazanchi was with Rediffusion DY&R, where he was the executive creative director, while Sankhe was the executive creative director of Publicis Ambience.

The mandate for both of them will be to lead the creative team of Publicis Ambience across the country.

Commenting on their appointment Publicis Network MD and CEO Nakul Chopra said, "I couldn't have thought of better people to lead the creative team of Publicis Ambience. Their experiences & backgrounds are a good fit with what our clients here need. I am really glad to have both of them in our organisation.

"Ashish has tremendous skills and his knowledge in working on both global and local brands is incredible. Prasanna's contribution to the organisation has been outstanding and truly noteworthy," he said.

Publicis Ambience president and COO Aniruddha Banerjee said, "We, at Publicis Ambience, have seen the fruits of teamwork and partnerships really help us take a leap forward. While creative remains their functional domain both Ashish and Prasanna, will join the team of Partha Sinha, Anirban Mukherjee and myself as the management team at Publicis Ambience."

Khazanchi who has had stints with O&M, McCann-Erickson and Publicis India, brings with him a total work experience of around 14 years. When at O&M (for around four years), he worked on Seagram's, Kelvinator and the Pulse Polio campaigns.

At McCann-Erickson, he worked for a year on Nescafe and Gillette. He was at Publicis India for about two years, and handled Tata Agni and Maggi.

Sankhe meanwhile has spent more than 12 years in advertising, after passing out from JJ School of Arts. Starting at JWT (then HTA), he moved on Trikaya, and then Ambience (for his first stint).

He spent some years in ANC (Alok Nanda and Company) before returning to Publicis Ambience. He has worked on some very major brands including Park Avenue, Kamasutra, Arrow, Wrangler, Western Union, Citibank, Tata Indicom, Sansui, Kinetic, Nerolac and Hit.
