Malls began this initiative to render support to the growing
concern of massive power consumption in India. With experts
raising alarms about problems associated with global warming,
the Mall decided to take steps earlier this year to launch
a campaign designed to save and control the overpowering consumption
of electricity.
Various
initiatives like maintaining the temperature of the central
air conditioning at 25°C, converting spot lights within
the mall to CFL's (since spot lights consume more energy),
reducing a large number of tubes and many others were undertaken
as a part of this deliberate campaign. This resulted in the
mall delivering exceptional results by saving 60,000kwh every
month.
To
bring this effort into limelight, a team developed a 360 degree
marketing strategy and endorsed the campaign effectively.
