Future TV to carry live updates from Times Now

MUMBAI: Retail television network Future TV and Times Now have entered into an alliance wherein Future TV will carry Live updates from the news channel to enable consumers stay abreast with the news while at consumption spaces.

The news ticker will be broadcast live across the Future TV network, which is currently being rolled out across 9 cities, at consumption places like Pantaloons, Big Bazaar, malls like Orchid City Centre using an exclusive and customized RSS feed.

Times Global Broadcasting CEO Sunil Lulla says, "A platform like Future TV will ensure that the viewer doesn't need to stay away from news while shopping."

India's first television brand in the ambience of consumption, Future TV is aimed at converting footfalls into eyeballs through consumer engagement. The screen is a split screen offering a variety of infotainment like promotions, entertaining content and News band.

The different feeds of Future TV, depending on the ambience of the location of the screen, present a variety of content.

For example, Pantaloon has more of lifestyle content, while Big Bazaar presents a lot more gag and humor. However, contests like cricket are common across various feeds.

Says Future Media CEO Partho Dasgupta, "The news ticker element is a value-offering we are giving to the viewers of Future TV to help them stay connected. Times Now known for its extensive, unbiased and relevant content is an obvious choice for partnership. We are glad, they have valued our proposition."
