MUMBAI: Big 92.7 FM Delhi station is celebrating the festival of Karwachauth with various on-air and on-ground activities from 27 to 29 October.

Karwachauth is a special festival celebrated by Indian women, by fasting a day for the welfare of their husband.

The celebration also includes a 'Big mela' on 27 October at Adar Satkar, Pragati Maidan in Delhi. Three winners of the Karwachauth contest will get a chance of makeover on 29 October.

Big FM Delhi station director Punit Mathur said, "At Big FM, we try and impact the lives of our listeners in innovative yet entertaining ways. The philosophy behind celebrating Karwachauth is to touch the lives of our female listeners and making a difference to their lives, since they do so much for their family and live it with pride. Karwachauth is the most important day for most of the women in the country, and gives us an opportunity to say thanks to them by making a difference in their lives on that very day."
