MUMBAI: Ogilvy India has won 2 gold awards at the London International Awards 2007 held at the Hippodrome in London. This makes it the only Indian agency to win two gold awards at the event.

London International Awards is a foremost award of its kind that looks to honour creative excellence in Advertising, Design and Integrated media.

The multiple awards winning IAPA campaign and the ‘Braille’ ad for National Association for the Blind won the 2 Gold awards in the Print category.

Ogilvy India executive creative director Sumanto Chattopadhyay said, "It has been a remarkable journey for the IAPA campaign this year, from Cannes bronze to London Festival gold. I think it would qualify as India's most awarded advertising campaign in 2007. The response to the campaign from every quarter has been heart-warming - from poetic responses of strangers forwarded via email to an invitation by a Russian children's magazine to feature the visuals."

Meanwhile Ogilvy India has won six finalists at the very first InterContinental Advertising Cup, popularly known as The Cup, the judging of which is underway in Valencia, Spain.

These entries were automatically chosen for as they were finalists/winners at the Adfest 2007. The IAPA campaign won a Gold and a Silver and the Ulta Perk campaign won a Silver and a Bronze at the Adfest 2007.

The IAPA campaign also won a gold, two silvers and a bronze at the Media Spikes awards 2007. It also brought home a bronze lion at the Cannes this year.

The InterContinental Advertising Cup is being awarded for the first time ever. It is a new concept in awards, gathering finalists from major regional advertising festivals of the world.

The results will be announced at The Cup Award Ceremony on 24 November.
