Radio City launches its first music video

MUMBAI: To promote its new logo, Radio City 91.1 FM has launched a music video for its station song Bolo Whatte Fun and a twin CD pack and cassettes comprising of 30 songs from the T-series collection in association with YBR records.

The three-minute music video features Vinay Pathak, is directed by Bluffmaster Rohan Sippy, sung by Shaan, music is composed by Vishal-Shekar and lyrics by the creative team of Meridien. As goes the station logo whatte fun, the music video is composed to be a stress buster.

The Bolo Whatte Fun, twin CD pack and cassettes, a collection of chartbusters will be available for sale in the market from 27 May.

Talking about the concept, Radio City CEO Apurva Purohit said, "In cities, people are tired and stressed because of work. Music works as a stress buster. Whatte Fun is about fun and happiness on air and off air. It is to include everyone in the fun culture."

Complementing our outlook of Whatte fun in the visual medium, the Bolo Whatte Fun music video and CD amplifies the very essence of it. In a rapidly evolving environment, this makes us the first FM radio brand to leverage the power of mulitple mediums to the next level of interactivity with our listeners. As the pioneers to private FM in India, Radio City is once again proud to spearhead this change," said Radio City national head marketing Rana Barua.

Barua further explained, "Through research and surveys, Radio City has defined its audience SEC AB 25-35. So all our shows are customised according to this core target audience."

Radio City national sales head Ashit Kukian said, "We are going to launch the music video soon in almost all the TV channels, though the talks for tie-ups are still on the process. Radio City will have its presence in radio, music and TV through the music video."
