Air India, Mediascope unveil in-flight biz publication 'Corporate'

MUMBAI: Air India and Mediascope Publicitas have announced the launch of Corporate magazine, a bimonthly in-flight business publication for First and Business class passengers flying on Air India.

According to an official statement, the content of the magazine is mix of the best of Fortune and The Economist, it's a business/lifestyle magazine that highlights the changes that are occurring in corporate India.

To help create the editorial vision, the magazine has assembled a team of creative heavyweights with a 25 year industry veteran Nitin B. Rao will serve as editor and Faruqui Jaan as art director. The contributing writers have been published in magazines as India Today, Business India, Economic Times, Business Standard and television. Corporate's content will include topics such as finance, personal investment, personality profiles, fashion and lifestyles.

"Contributions from well-known names in the media, business and the government go beyond the cliché Global India headlines and offer in depth analysis of the where's, why's and how's behind the news," said Mediascope COO-content Peter Morgan.

Air India chairman and MD V. Thulasidas said, "Corporate comes at an opportune time when India is going through a transition. Age-old rules are being rewritten, and replaced with new ones that only recognize professionalism and hard work. I am sure passengers will capture the same and feel the pulse of the changing India Inc. through Corporate."

"Corporate is a dream come true for marketers who were looking at clearly segmenting their target audience. This is the first ever media vehicle specifically targeting the ever affluent and influential First & Business class international traveler," informed Mediascope Publicitas COO Raja Gupta.
