MUMBAI: As the Government has made it mandatory for all scooterists in Chennai to wear helmets, Big 92.7 FM has stepped in to add a fun element in spreading public awareness.

In its drive for a safe Chennai, the radio station has announced the distribution of 150 helmets.

Sponsored by Sharon Plywood, the helmets will be given to listeners when they answer the questions asked by RJ Dheena in his show Speed between 5 pm to 8 pm on all week days.

Speaking on the initiative, Big 92.7 FM Chennai station manager Zarine Menon said, "We as a station have always been associated with spreading awareness on traffic safety and the latest initiative of giving out helmets is yet another way of showing our commitment towards traffic safety."
