MUMBAI: Hakuhodo Percept has received the prestigious Amity Corporate Excellence Award from Amity International Business School for the year 2007.

The Amity corporate excellence awards aim to recognize the best practices and honour leading companies who have excelled in their respective domains and have outshined other companies because of their distinct vision, innovation, competitiveness and sustenance.

Hakuhodo Percept CEO Debashis Bose said, "It is particularly significant for Hakuhodo Percept, as it is one of the youngest companies to be honoured with the award and was the only advertising agency to receive it this year."

The award was chosen through a two-stage process amongst a selection involving 200 companies across 20 different business sectors.

The factors taken into consideration were years of existence of the companies in India, employees' strengths, gross revenue, and market capital. Finally the most admired companies were chosen through a voting process involving young management graduates of various institutions from all over India.

Some of the other companies who have received the award are Tata Steel, ONGC, Wockhardt amongst others.

Established in January 2000, Hakuhodo Percept is a 50:50 joint venture of Hakuhodo Inc. and Percept. It offers advertising, marketing and media buying services.
