MUMBAI: Kingfisher Airlines has unveiled a life-size replica of the Panasonic Toyota Formula 1 racing car.

Kingfisher Airlines and Toyota Motorsport have entered into a multi-year partnership deal for the Panasonic Toyota F1 Racing team.

As part of Kingfisher Airlines’ promotional programmes to enhance customer delight, it has introduced a contest for all Kingfisher Airlines guests. All one has to do is fly the Good Times with Kingfisher Airlines during the promotion month to be a part of a lucky draw. The winners of the Kingfisher Airlines F1 contest win an all-expenses-paid trip to the next Grand Prix destination and watch the action live.

The association between Kingfisher Airlines and Toyota Motorsports also marks the largest sports partnership programme so far for the 22-month-old Kingfisher Airlines. Ralf Schumacher, one of the ace drivers of the F1 Toyota team was also present at the car unveiling. The partnership is widely expected to raise the interest level of Indians in the F1 sport.

Kingfisher Airlines chairman and CEO Dr. Vijay Mallya said, “We are excited about our partnership with Toyota Motorsport GmbH and are also delighted to have Ralf Schumacher in India for the promotion of this popular sport. This is part of Kingfisher Airlines’ long term vision to be well entrenched in the minds of global guests and enhance visibility internationally and be the airline of first choice whenever anybody thinks of flying.

"Besides, we intend to weave together a series of compelling consumer engagement initiatives that will reward our guests flying on board Kingfisher Airlines with free opportunities to watch Formula 1 races live amongst other exciting rewards.”

Kingfisher Airlines offers 158 flights daily connecting 29 key Indian business and leisure destinations on a fleet of 24 brand new aircraft.
