George Clooney to become Omega Ambassador

BANGALORE: Prestige Swiss watchmaking company Omega has announced that it has concluded a partnership agreement Hollywood actor and director George Clooney.

Clooney will feature prominently in Omega's promotional activities worldwide with the exception of the United States and Canada.
Stephen Urquhart, President of Omega, warmly welcomed this exciting partnership, emphasising that George Clooney had been specifically chosen to represent the brand, as in keeping with all the other members of the Omega family, he shares the same philosophy and values: "In building such a successful career as both an actor and director, passion and dedication have motivated many of George Clooney's professional decisions; his proactive approach to sensitive humanitarian issues further characterise him as a man of integrity possessing a pioneering spirit, attributes which are the very essence of Omega. I am therefore absolutely thrilled to welcome George to the Omega family."

More recently George Clooney has taken on another role this time on the political stage as he campaigns relentlessly to resolve the humanitarian crisis in Darfur.

Omega, the luxury marquee of the Swatch Group, was founded in 1848.
