MUMBAI: Cricket stars Kapil Dev and Vinod Kambli unveiled the latest sporting property from Essel group. It was a double celebration of sorts for the group which launched its new sports magazine All Sports and also threw open the doors of its revamped sports bar and lounge - All Sports Bar - in Andheri.

Speaking on the occasion of the magazine launch, publisher Sunand Bhojani explained, "All Sports is an effort to go beyond cricket and provide a more comprehensive coverage of other sports like F1, football, golf, tennis and the NBA action. The readership we are looking at is SEC A, B and a predominantly urban, sports aficionado."

All Sports national head – marketing and sales Bhupendra Raikar is confident that the magazine will be able to appeal to its target audience. "While there are other sports magazines in the market, even some specialist sports magazines on cricket and golf, there is a need for a magazine with a broader scope."

Said Essel Group director Amit Goenka, "We are actively looking at other sporting properties and All Sports magazine, as well as the sports bar, are the first in line."

Published by SE Publishers, the magazine is priced at Rs 50 and would follow a dual distribution model starting with news stand circulation and then aggressively target subscriptions.

Essel group also plans to expand to 20 more All Sports Bars across the country along with 50 franchised outlets.
