PRCI to have global meet ’Metamorphosis’ in Bangalore

BANGALORE: The Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) will have a global meet –Metamorphosis in Bangalore starting March 15 to March 17, 2007. As is evident from the name, various issues will be discussed ranging form the changes in the PR industry to corporate and PR communications, etc.

Some of the topics on the agenda on the Business Sesion 1-The new Wing include “Is India in sync with global PR”, “Is PR` still a wine and dine affair”, and ”New PR tools” among others.

Other interesting topics such as “News reporters or news makers?” , “Media and the corporate world” , “Advertising –The new creative “ will be a part of Business Session two captioned “The all colorful media”.

Business Session 3 –The Corporate Pollinator will cover issues such as “How to retain talent”, “Under employment or unemployment” and “Hire experience or expertise” .

Experts such as Mutual PR ceo Pravin Dubey, University of Stirling, UK, dy. head & director, Dr. Mathew Hibberd, KJ Somaiya Institute of Mgt.Studies & Research, Mumbai, Prof. Uma Bhushan, ex-principal anchor of CNBC and head – Convergence School of Communications, Paranjoy Guha, Brand expert and ceo, Consultants, Harish Bijoor are some of the experts will share their views and expertise.

The conference is scheduled to be inaugurated by Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy, with former Atomic Energy chairman, Dr. Srinivasan as the chief guest. Former PM of India H D Devi Gowda will hand over the National Achiever Awards, and Union Minister of Planning, Dr. M V. Rajshekaran will be the chief guest for the valedictory function on 17 March 2007.
