MUMBAI: In their search for an advertising agency to handle their creative business, Singapore Airlines has shortlisted three agencies including DDB, Publicis and TBWA to proceed to the final stage of evaluation.

A further round of evaluation involving the three shortlisted agencies will take place, following which an announcement will be made.

This follows from an assessment of agencies' submissions and creative concepts in response to the Singapore Airlines Request for Information in early January 2007.

The market review is conducted to ensure that Singapore Airlines works with the creative agency that is best suited to the airline's future commercial requirements. The review process is managed by Singapore consultancy R3.

The in an official statement the company announced, "The strong support from our customers globally for the iconic Singapore Girl, as a representation of the high service standards we aim to deliver, is very much appreciated."

"Singapore Airlines takes this opportunity to reassure our customers and supporters the world over that the Singapore Girl icon will remain, and there will be no change to the hallmark sarong kebaya uniform."

"There may be differences in the way the Airline's advertising appears, and we're open to those new ideas, but customers can be assured the service from the Airline's cabin crew will not depart from they've come to expect."

In addition the airlines also thanks Bates for its partnership and contribution to the development and growth of the brand over the years.
