BANGALORE: Radio Mirchi Bangalore 98.3 FM (Radio Mirchi) has been using every occasion, every festival to carve a niche in Bangalore and attract more eardrums than the competition. Though many of the programs beams non-Kannada content, the jocks speak a mixture of Kannada and English with some inadvertent Hindi words – a sort of a cosmopolitan culture to put it across better to the listeners.

Across the country, the group has been very active in grabbing eyeballs and the listeners' attention, Holi was celebrated in different ways across the country, with a Hoilcopter Holi celebration in Bangalore.

Women's Day is another opportunity and the Bangalore station has run a contest, the winners of which will be served by four RJs' in one of the top most Chinese restaurants. Tomorow, March 8th, 2007, RJs' Ashwin (Hello Bangalore - 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.), Sachith (Mirchi Talkis - 9 p.m. - 11 p.m.), Avinash (Bitti Ticket - 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.), Beat Raaja (Outdoor Broadcasting) will dress as waiters and serve 20 'lucky women' who have given the best repartee to the question "Why women are better than men".

Kannada film diva Tara will join the fun. Dubbed "RJ galaadaru Server - A Women's Day Special", the event will be broadcast live by Radio Mirchi.
