Honda names Tatsuya Natsume as director marketing

MUMBAI: Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) has appointed Tatsuya Natsume as director marketing with effect from 1 April. He will be one of the five directors at HSCI and will be heading the marketing, sales and after-sales operations, reporting directly to the president and CEO M. Takedagawa.

Natsume takes over from Hiroshi Shimizu who moves to Philippines as Honda Cars Philippines president. Shimizu had been associated with HSCI for the past four years and played a significant role in the rapid growth of the company over the past few years, informs an official release.

Natsume has been associated with Honda for more than two decades and brings with him rich sales and marketing experience. He has worked in various locations, including Germany and Italy and also looked after Middle East/ Africa and Asia-Oceania region from Japan. In his last assignment, Natsume was handling automobile operations for China from the Honda head quarters in Japan.

Talking about his experience in India, Shimizu said, "HSCI sales have grown from 13,000 units in 2003 to over 60,000 units in this fiscal year. It has been very exciting to be in the midst of this growth phase and to be contributing to this growth. I will take back fond memories of my stay in India."
