MUMBAI: Publicis India creative director Vivek Nayyar has been invited to join the panel of judges for the print category award at the New York Festivals this year.

Publicis India senior VP Ambba Kuthiala said, "Vivek's selection onto the jury is a big achievement for Publicis and India. I think he made us and India proud and I look forward to more Indians making it onto International jury panels. It's a well-deserved selection as his film for Cancer Patients Aid Association was short-listed at Cannes last year."

Spanning his career, Nayyar has won over a dozen International awards in the last two years and notable among them was the Film Finalist at Cannes last year for his film for The Cancer Patients Aid Association. In Ambience handled Lakme, TVS Motors, Godrej Washing Machines, Parachute, SIL Jams, and Whisper and at Publicis India he is working on Garnier, Globus and Fidelity, informs an official release.

He started his carrier at O&M in 1993. Moved to Ambience where he spent six-seven years. Later he joined R.K. Swamy BBDO for a year and a half with them and then moved to Publicis India (Mumbai) where he has been for nearly two years.

Nayyar said, "It's a great honour and privilege to be chosen to judge one of the leading global award competitions. Being chosen once again reinforces the fact that creative work and creative people from India are being recognised around the world."

New York Festivals (NYF) now in its 50th year, is an International Awards Group (IAG) Company, recognizing the world's best work in advertising and programming. Each NYF competition is supported by a Board of Judges and Advisors, each of which is led by a chairperson and represents a veritable "who's who" of international communications. Entries are judged by panels of international award winning creatives who are recognized as leaders in their respective fields.
