MUMBAI: As part of a rejig of its organisational set-up, Rediffusion DYR has been fragmenting the management structure off late in a bid to create client focused units.

In the latest development, J. Janardhan of Showdiff has joined Rediffusion DYR as general manager.

He, however, will continue his services at Showdiff in 75:25 working relationship, with prime responsibilities at Rediffusion Chennai.

As reported earlier, Anant Pal Singh has joined the Delhi office as vice-president on the Airtel account after a stint at Dentsu. He will be leading the account management team on all the SBUs of Airtel.

Rediffusion DYR president Mahesh Chauhan said, "Janardhan's activation & media capabilities coupled with strong relationship skills & passion makes him a perfect candidate for heading the Chennai branch. He will shoulder dual responsibility of Rediffusion and Showdiff. Anant Pal is one of the finest talents in the industry today and will be an asset to the Delhi branch and more importantly to the Airtel account."

About his appointment, Janardhan said, "Chennai has tremendous potential for great advertising work and our objective is not only to garner more business there, but also to live up to our clients' expectations in terms of the strategic and creative, thereby synergizing our efforts with the client."
