NEW DELHI: Actor Shilpa Shetty who became a name to reckon with in the UK after winning the Big Brother reality show on Channel 4. She has now become the latest star to launch her own fragrance and then start a chain of restaurants in that country.

Shilpa said, "The perfume is truly unique because we have an amalgam of jasmine and citrus and it's a very strong ethnic aroma."

"Shilpa joins the likes of Kylie Minogue, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez and Paris Hilton in launching a fragrance," according to her spokesperson Dale Bhagwagar.

He said, "Shilpa is also set to write a cookery book, release a feature DVD on yoga to be shot in the Himalayas, and even launch a chain of restaurants abroad; starting with one in Central London."

Shilpa bagged an estimated 100,000 pounds (almost Rs. 9 million) in prize money. The 31 year-old star was the first Indian to participate in the British TV show.
