MUMBAI: Videocon has launched a fresh TVC for its new range of televisions under the title 'Sound Station'.

The brand name literally reveals that the TVC is backed with an idea of providing sound at the larger scale.

Elaborating more on the idea, Videocon GM sales and marketing Anuj Jain said, "Indians with higher disposable incomes have preferred choices when it comes to sound in their televisions. Some like it loud and thumping, some like it soft and refined."

The film is a compilation of reactions to different pitches of sounds. The clarity and the tone rise with every reaction and then ends in a crescendo.

O&M which has created the TVC, received the brief to single mindedly and refreshingly communicate the product's main USP of spectacular sound output.

O&M group creative director Sumanto Chattopadhyay says "Today, what you see on TV has also changed a lot from the early days. Entertainment has become more dramatic and that's why many consumers demand both loudness and clarity from the sound on their televisions."

Every sound has a distinctive reaction and this insight inspired the campaign.

Chattopadhyay says, "Normally, the sound is so soft or unnoticeable, that we tend to overlook its beauty. Its soul. Our idea emphasizes the fact that Videocon SoundStation TVs is great at amplifying the low, medium and high frequency sounds. So the viewer hears everything in full clarity and never misses even the slightest bit of the viewing experience."

The TVC was shot by Prakash Varma of Nirvana Films.

When viewed on a Videocon SoundStation, the clarity and loudness in the film gets demonstrated effectively, states an official press release.

Videocon will reveal the print ads next week. The television ranges from 1000pmpo to 2500pmpo and will be available in sizes from 21 inches to 29 inches.
