Big FM spreads social awareness messages

MUMBAI: Big 92.7 FM has pulled up its socks for social awareness drives. With activities being launched in stations sprawled across the country, the tag line is Suno Sunao Life Banao and the attempt is to establish the brand as a socially responsible corporate.

Big 92.7 FM Chennai, partnered with Narcotics Control Bureau, Narcotics Intelligence bureau and Wisdom hospital to promote awareness on drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking. This is line with the World Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking Day being celebrated today.

For the same, the station aired various campaigns for the last five days and requested volunteers to participate alone with 25 schools for an awareness walk held today. The Narcotics Intelligence Bureau also organised an exhibition on drug pedlars.

The station at Chandigarh, installed purified drinking water stalls in different parts of the city to further its earlier initiatives like Sone ki Baarish and City Banao Pretty Abhiyaan.

Big 92.7 FM Chandigarh official Mohit Sharma said, "We have always believed in undertaking initiatives that impact listener's lives positively - whether it is our on air programming mix or on ground initiatives. Safe and clean drinking water is a basic necessity and through this initiative, we want to reach out to the people of Chandigarh."
