Big FM launches 'Big Fresher 2007' contest

MUMBAi :Big 92.7 FM Hyderabad will launch the 'Big Fresher 2007' contest from 24 July. This will provide a platform college freshers to showcase their talent and attitude.

One male and one female will be crowned the 'Big Fresher 2007' on 12 August which is 'World Youth Day'.

20 contestants will be short listed to create their own blogs 'Young Soul of India' on www.bharatstudent.com. An on-air and web based campaign will exhort the youth of Hyderabad to log on to the blogs and vote for their favourite contestants.
Winners will get to take home Hero Honda bikes, Sony Handycams and gift vouchers from Lifestyle.

RJs Sneha, Chetan and Adonica will visit colleges to conduct three rounds of screening. These include 'Lifestyle self dabba' where the contestants will have to give a wacky intro in 30 seconds, 'Sony Cybershot moments' where contestants will need to spontaneously emote a typical catch phrase, 'Hero Honda slow biking' which is a test of biking skills and 'Bharatstudent.com rapid fire' which is rapid fire test the contestants ability to think on their feet.

Big FM Hyderabad station director Ashwin Padmanabhan said "Through this activity the youth of the city have the perfect opportunity for fame and recognition and in line with the Big FM philosophy of Life Banao."

The campaign will be presented in association with Hero Honda, Sony and Lifestyle International, Bharatstudent.com is sponsoring the contest.
