MUMBAI: Ogilvy and Mather India has bagged the number three spot in the latest worldwide WPP ranking.

The top two slots went to O&M Singapore and O&M Toronto.

The ranking is a combined performance ranking of the offices of Ogilvy Mumbai, Ogilvy Delhi, Ogilvy Bangalore and Ogilvy Kolkata.

Within the worldwide WPP top 10, Ogilvy Mumbai has been ranked at the seventh spot. In the previous year's ranking it had bagged the eleventh spot.

O&M vice chairman Asia Pacific region Piyush Pandey said, "We are very happy with the ranking we've received. It just goes to show the scope of work we have done in the past one 10 months."

"The ranking depends upon total tally of quality of work that has come out of the agencies and the awards won internationally. Currently, O&M is behind O&M Singapore and O&M Frankfurt which have bagged the first and second positions respectively," he added.

The rankings are given on the basis of performance in the last 10 months and up to Cannes 2007 of all WPP agencies around the world. In the current rankings there is no Indian WPP company in the top 19 other than O&M India.

"It is now upto our young creative brains to build on this recognition that we've received internationally. They must get motivated and keep up a consistent performance to grow higher in the coming days," he said.
