IMG to represent tennis player Yuki Bhambri

MUMBAI: Tennis player Yuki Bhamri, has selected IMG for worldwide management and marketing representation.

Joining his sisters Ankita and Sana and cousin Prerna, Yuki is the newest rising star from the Bhambri family. As a junior, the 13-year old, distinguished himself as No 142 according to ITF Junior Ranking and No 1 (under 16) and No 3 (under 18) according to the AITA Ranking. He was also named player of the month in November 2006 by Asian Tennis Federation.

Bhamri will use the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy (NBTA) for training purposes during his career. NBTA, world's foremost training facilities has produced many of the world's top players including Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Tommy Haas, Monica Seles, Anna Kournikova, Maria Sharapova, and Nicole Vaidisova.

IMG India MD Balu Nayar says, "Yuki's performance in the past only goes to show his intelligence, talent and ability for this game. This thirteen year old tennis prodigy from Delhi is fast punching his way through the junior tennis circuit, promising to be India's new tennis hope. We are looking forward to helping him rise above the ranks to emerge as the next tennis sensation."

Yuki says, "I am happy to associate with IMG and have their support to boost my career to new horizons. Their worldwide resources and expertise have been instrumental in lifting the game of many experts to new levels, and I am looking forward to use this to the best of my advantage".

Other notable IMG tennis clients include: Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, Lindsay Davenport, Rafael Nadal, James Blake, Venus Williams, Chris Evert, John McEnroe, Monica Seles, Gael Monfils, Mario Ancic, and Nicole Vaidisova. IMG also represents Indian ATP player Karan Rastogi.
