Publicis promotes Partha Sinha to regional strategist for Asia

MUMBAI: Publicis' Partha Sinha has been promoted to regional strategist for Publicis Asia and will primarily focus on new initiatives - leading the brand planning tool and process development for the region and create strategic leadership for Publicis Dialog, the new age holistic marketing communication company of Publicis.

In addition to his Publicis Asia role, Sinha will continue to lead the strategic development in India as the chief strategy officer.

Commenting on the new role that the Former Zee TV strategy and marketing head Sinha will assume, Publicis regional COO Matthew Godfrey said, "The first major initiative we have for 2007 is that one of our leading people in the region, Partha Sinha, who current leads strategic planning for Publicis in India, will take on additional responsibility as the regional strategist for Publicis in Asia."

Sinha will be based in India and will work closely with Publicis India MD & CEO Nakul Chopra, as well as the Asia Pacific regional team on building a planning product and toolkit for Publicis and leading the strategic development for the fast growing and holistic communication business.

One of Publicis Asia Pacific's key strategic goals in 2007 is to continue to develop the network skills in holistic communication under the Publicis Dialog brand. This will build upon a number of important initiatives that occurred in 2006, including the launch of Publicis Dialog in China, Thailand, Hong-Kong and Korea.

Chopra comments, "In Partha we have one of the sharpest minds of our industry. The Indian organisation and clients have benefited immensely from him. I am very pleased to see that we will now leverage this asset across Asia Pacific"

Sinha says, "I am extremely excited about my new role. At Publicis, we have embarked upon a journey to engage with the consumer at a fundamental human level and my job will be to take that journey to its logical conclusion across all markets in Asia Pacific. Publicis Asia Pacific should be known for its cutting edge thinking."

Having a diverse career background, Partha has gathered experience as a nuclear power plant engineer, a Citibanker, the head of strategy and marketing for Zee TV, head of strategy of an internet portal and of course during his eight year stint as a planner in Ogilvy and Publicis.
